V. Cade is a passionate teacher, lifelong learner, and humble servant of God. Her debut poetry collection includes years of reflecting, growing, and expressing life's precious moments. Raised in a family of five after the untimely death of her brother whom she affectionately calls "my somebody", she channeled her loneliness and middle child syndrome through her poetry and other personal writings. Inspired by poets like the late Langston Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, and Maya Angelou, Valencia draws on traditional and nontraditional poetry styles. She currently uses her educational platform to conduct workshops where she creates unique opportunities for men and women in particular to "pour into themselves" through vision board activities with plans in the future to help "feed the souls" with transformational workshops, seminars, and lectures. She hopes to use her poetry to be a reflector of light in temporary dark places and to motivate all to take mustard seed moves. She is the mother of one reflective, quirky, and unique miracle of life, son, whom shares the gift of gab and words.
